The VIA Culture Story

VIA Culture started as an innovative Erasmus+ KA2 project with the aim to provide free open access educational resources for teaching a foreign language through Cultural Heritage (ECH) Assets, Process Drama and New Technologies. This mixture of mediums aspired to help learners of any background, with a focus to new arrivals, migrants and refugees students, to explore the heritage of the host country, to embrace the European values, ethos and principles, and to become confident users of a foreign language through innovative practices in a digital era.
VIA Culture now is an umbrella initiative that aims to explore through different mediums the incorporation of Cultural heritage, Material Culture, Archaeology, and Social Anthropology into the curriculum. We envisage to investigate ways to enhance the teaching in all STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering Arts and Mathematics) subjects, building methodologies that can be adapted to different educational needs across the world. Via Culture, we also aim to develop innovative ways of community co-production of heritage assets through the educational context
